From NGO to NGO, from person to person

Civil Society Development Foundation (CSDF) celebrates 30 years of activity in supporting the non-governmental sector in Romania. Established in 1994 as part of a regional initiative of the European Commission, CSDF has become an essential pillar in strengthening a strong civil society. Over the years, CSDF has been a reliable partner for thousands of NGOs, providing financial support and consultancy for projects with community impact.

CSDF’s advocacy campaigns have been significant for the development of a favorable legislative framework and for strengthening collaboration among NGOs, the business sector, public institutions and other stakeholders. CSDF has promoted the organizational development of NGOs through training and consultancy, contributing to strengthening leadership and professional skills in the sector. Through coalitions, CSDF multiplied the impact of its work, promoting international cooperation and civic engagement. With a clear vision for the future, CSDF aims to remain a catalyst for change, supporting the development of a dynamic and resilient civil society.

CSDF supports the development of skills and capabilities among individuals and civil society organizations in Romania and beyond, aiming to enhance their impact in communities, while also analysing and communicating this impact.
