Data collection policy

The Foundation for the Development of Civil Society (FDSC), headquartered in Bucharest, Sector 3, Nerva Traian Street, no. 21, tax registration code 14476331, and registered with the Sector 2 Court based on Court Decision no. 111 dated 21.12.1994, collects a series of personal data from individuals who wish to receive newsletter-type updates, subsequent information about funding and organizational development programs managed by FDSC, about FDSC’s events, awareness and promotional campaigns, promotional and informative campaigns about FDSC’s activities and/or the non-governmental sector, articles and publications, as well as any other information that may be related to FDSC’s activity or the non-governmental sector.

The personal data processed includes: name, surname, and email address.

Purposes and legal grounds for processing: Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of sending newsletter-type updates, subsequent information about funding and organizational development programs managed by FDSC, about FDSC’s events, awareness and promotional campaigns, promotional and informative campaigns about FDSC’s activities and/or the non-governmental sector, articles and publications, as well as any other relevant information regarding the activity of FDSC or the non-governmental sector.

Your personal data may be transferred by the controller (FDSC) to processors (third parties), including the following categories: funders, sponsors, evaluators and/or auditors during inspections carried out by them, public authorities in the event of a potential inspection, and the IT company responsible for the maintenance and functionality of the website.

Your personal data will be retained for a period necessary to keep relevant data for the aforementioned purpose. Additionally, personal data will be stored by FDSC for a period of 5 years. If you no longer wish to receive communications from FDSC, you can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing bianca.oprea@fdsc.ro.


Rights Regarding the Processing of Personal Data

  • Right of access: I have the right to request information from FDSC about the processing of my personal data.

  • Right to rectification: I have the right to request FDSC to correct my inaccurate personal data.

  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): I have the right to request FDSC to delete my personal data in certain situations, such as when the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or when I have withdrawn my consent.

  • Right to restriction of processing: I have the right to request FDSC to restrict the processing of my data in certain situations, such as when I contest the accuracy of the processed personal data or when the data is not processed in accordance with the law.

  • Right to object: I have the right to object at any time, for legitimate and compelling reasons related to my particular situation, to the processing of my data, except in cases where there are legal provisions to the contrary.

  • Right to data portability: I have the right to request FDSC to transfer my personal data processed by them to myself or to another entity that will process my personal data.
