Location: Bucharest Job available: September 1, 2008 Qualifications required: • Good command of English language • Good organisational, communication and computer skills • A heart for the cause Summary role: To run local (Bucharest and Brasov) and national Fund-raising in order to provide financial resources for the development of the charity’s services. Key responsibilities: Fund-Raising - To raise awareness amongst corporate and individual tax-payers of the 2% “tax back” and other tax schemes, find contacts and develop this stream of income. - To identify and contact corporate, community and individual sponsors (cash and gift in kind sponsorship) - To participate in capital or revenue campaigns of the organization - To participate in the planning, execution and follow-up of charity fund-raising events such as concerts, golf days, Charity Balls etc. - To plan and participate in community fund-raising (hospice day, stalls etc.) - To organize the placement of collecting boxes in retail and other outlets - To recruit, train and work with volunteer fund-raisers Administrative - To communicate with the Fund-raising Manager (Brasov) - To present monthly reports to the Fund-raising Manager (Brasov): main activities, plans, problems, opportunities and participating at the monthly FR meeting. - To maintain permanent good contact with the Fund-raising team in Bucharest and Brasov - To maintain, develop and manage the fund-raising database - To liaise with staff at the Nicholas Edeleanu Resource Centre - To respond to the Fund-raising Manager (Brasov) request of actively involvement in the fundraising activities (Brasov, Bucharest) - To represent the charity and its philosophy both internally and externally.
