  thoughts on civil society...

Civil society means spontaneity. Civil society is a society of dynamic people, who join an association to protect their interests, to find resources, to defend their values. The sooner people understand they must not wait for the public authorities to do too much for them, but to help themselves instead, the sooner and better our civil society will evolve. (Stelian Tanase)

Civil Society, it's us, the people on the street. (Dragos Budei)

Perhaps the simplest definition of civil society is that represents an expression of freedom. (Mihaela Lambru)

There are people that share a common passion or concern with the same problem affecting their community who assemble together to share their passion or to solve that problem. They could be painters or writers, environmentalists, people who care about children in difficult situations, or individuals who do not want to ignore those who suffer from pain or injustice. (Luminita Petrescu)
