6,000,000 EURO
The budget is distributed as follows:
5,565,000 EURO - grants
435,000 EURO - technical assistance for programme management
OBJECTIVES:
-
To further increase the capacity and the credibility of the sector in
order to better serve the community needs and interests;
-
To support NGO
projects of relevance to the implementation of the acquis communautaire
and to certain social priorities needs;
-
To strengthen the
NGOs in the field of democracy, human rights, rule of law and
independence of justice.
PROGRAMME COMPONENTS
The programme consists of 5 components:
1. NGO
sector development
2. Citizens
Advice Bureaux
3. Adoption
and implementation of the acquis communautaire in the environmental
protection, consumer protection and socio-economic development fields
4. Democracy,
human rights, rule of law and independence of justice
